The prime minster tweeted: "Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.
"I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government's response via video-conference as we fight this virus.
"Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives."
Downing Street said Mr Johnson had been tested on the advice of his chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty, having been experiencing "mild symptoms" on Thursday.

Genius.
“I’m shaking hands continuously. I was at a hospital the other night where I think there were actually a few coronavirus patients and I shook hands with everybody, you’ll be pleased to know. I continue to shake hands." - Boris Johnson, 3rd March

Who said it was? You’re completely missing the point, he’s obviously incapable of following his own governments advice, and as a result has probably infected many others. It’s just a great example of this idiots stupidity.
And this man is our leader? Hardly inspires confidence.

The man is not stupid.
The advice given as to social
distancing is a guide to minimise
the risk.
Remember next time you use
the ATM seconds after the person in
front, that's not off shaking hands.
Then when you're at the checkout
and you throw the money from 2 metres
at the operator.
I hope the man makes a speeedy
recovery and gets on with the
job.

Yes, it is a guide to reduce risk. Helpful advice provided by his own government, advice he chose to ignore, and as a consequence he now has Covid-19, and has potentially infected others. He clearly is an idiot.
Oh and btw if I can’t use contactless at the checkout I don’t shop there, and I haven’t used an ATM in weeks.
